Ok, beach folks....here is a GREAT opportunity to come out, support a great cause and get in some physical activity. The Chesapeake Bay 10K will be held on April 26th in Ocean View.  The course runs from Oceanview Beach to Willoughby Spit and back.  Do NOT let it intimidate you! You can run this...walk this...run/walk this....does not matter!  The goal is to get out an move. I know Blair is in....BLAIR - I'm in (registered over the weekend!)....Anyone else??? http://www.chesapeakebay10k.kalerunning.com/

I'll be in Radford helping get daughter stuff moved home in prep for her graduation the following weekend May 3rd, oh Wow,..... Youse guys have a good run.  I'm thinkin serious about working on tempo running and trying to get faster and prepped for the 13 mi half marathon at Suntrust in Richmond in November.  Some more event to run this summer is certainly needed to keep me motivated and consistently training toward my goals. A recent thought,....why do I run? Because I can. As I learned from getting so big and my health deteriorating as it did pre-op,...I lost the ability to run once before.  I want to enjoy being able to for as long as I can before I lose it again to old age or bad health or whatever.  I think I appreciate it more now.
