First ! Congratulations on your 3 year Surgiversary. You have done an awesome job .  I want to pass on my thoughts for you on this subject .  1. If your doctors office has a Nutricianist - go and make an appointment to discuss your concerns, they are going to be the best key players to go to . They can make great reccomendations to you to help you as well . If they do not have one - go back to your surgeon to discuss your concerns. 2. I can give you my thoughts and how I manage my maintence.    A. I watch my calories .. no more than 1500    B. WATER  - WATER - WATER - I shoot for 90 ounces or better ..   C. Make sure you are getting in all your protein. If you are lacking in this it can cause you to not stay full and possibly want to eat more .    D. EXERCISE - EXERCISE .. if you are not doing it , you must . It is the one key that will assist you in keeping your weight stable and help to burn calories .  E. Make good food choices - Protein first - Veggies Second and if maybe a carb. F. Remember you are human .. and that you are allowed to make mistakes.  I also do water loading . I am almost 4 years out .. and this helps me to stay fuller longer . I have attached a link that I hope will assist you to explain this better .  http://livingafterwls.blogspot.com/2005/06/reminder-meal-process-fluid-loading.html If you need to talk further , you can feel free to email me here at Oh .. and I will be happy to talk to you about anything .  Best of luck to you , remember you can do this .. JUST BELIEVE !  Hugs and again --- Congrats on a job well done !  Tink

I definitely thnk that following a good eating plan (low fats, low carbs, high protein, veggies/fruits) is a key to maintaing.  Watching your portions, etc.  If you are a snacker, try using protein bars or shakes in place of those snacks.  Exercise too.  I am 2 1/2 years out & recently added more cardio (by way of stationary bike) to my exercise and have really noticed the difference in the toning of my thighs/hips (and others have noticed too).  Just keep on working the tool!!!
