Hi all! Long time no talk...it's been wild lately.  My hubby's dad was in critical care in TN and we were there for a bit since we didn't think he would make it.  However, he has made it and improving slowly everyday and it's been a true miracle. I am doing well...steady.  I am holding steady at 233 since the beginning of March...it's my first real plateau and it's a little hard to deal with but, I'm getting through.  I am having a hard time telling my brain that it's just a little thing and it will pass...but, my head keeps whispering that this is all the weight I'll lose....ugh! I know that I just need to up the exercise and be more cautious of what's going in my mouth...but we all know how that "fat brain" can take over. I'm experiencing some occassional stomach pains...and everytime I get pain, I freak out thinking that my ulcers are back...but, I am trying to just have sense about it...LOL.  I imagine that Dr. Mo will suggest a follow up EGD sometime in May just to make sure all still looks good...but, who knows.   That's about it...boring I know!  Hope everyone is doing well...

Hi, Lisa:  I was just thinking about you the other day and wondering how you are doing.  I am glad to hear you are doing well.  I am sorry to hear your father-in-law is so ill, but at the same time, it sounds like things are improving, and I am very happy to hear that.  I will keep him in my prayers.  Hang in there -- it sounds to me like you are doing great, especially in light of all of the stress you have been under these last months.  Take care!  :)

Good am Lisa, Great to hear from you. I think of you often & keep you in my prayers. Glad to hear your FIL is improving. Stalls are such a pain at times but we have to remain positive and get through them. Our brains have to catch up a LOT in my opinion! I always think of this as the angel on one shoulder and devil on the other. Ones saying yes and the others saying no and you gotta go with what you know and hopefully make the good choices. I did the same everytime I got tummy pains was think that my ulcer was coming back and I am just about finished meds with this round of it but rest assured it gets better. You've been through so much in recent months so you might need to give yourself a break and I'm sure you do but remind yourself how blessed you are and how far you've come. Better days are certainly coming for you, me and everyone. We just have to have faith. The follow up is a great thing. It gives the doc and you peace of mind. Not boring! Hope to see you here more often! All best!

Glad to here your doing better an seeing you post again it has been a while since I have seen you on here. Glad your FIL is inproving and hope he continues to do so. Keep up the good work and stay positive I know the stalls can be a pain in the butt Ive been there for a while but I dont give up and I will not settle for the weight Im at I just say the body has taken a long vacation after the workout it had. So Im hoping it will start itself back up and those scales start moving again the negative direction anyday would be great for me as well. So hang in there and  up the protein and push the fluids and exercise is what they all tell me and the plateau will end. Good luck and keep us posted.

Lisa, I am sorry that you & your family are having to go through this.  Please know my thoughts & prayers are with you.  I am glad to hear that you are feeling better & that in the face of all of this stress you are handling it all well.  Just think at least you aren't gaining.  A theory I have heard is that if you hovered around that weight for awhile when you are gaining, then you are likely to stall there as you are losing.  Not sure how true it is but it could have some truth to it.  Just keep working the tool.  You will get there.
