Cereal! Imagine that, of all thing's! I've heard that alot of people have issues with cereal because it's a mix of solid and liquid at the same time. But I tried to use very lil milk, just enough to make it damp. I didnt vomit or dump, but I felt HORRIBLE and flu like. So I guess at least now I do know my pouch is there and ultimatly...it still has the last say...lol Brandi~

Did you check how much sugar was in it? Man, you have a tough stomach or a death wish. After my first dumping incident eating applesauce with too much sugar my Actigal, I have been militant abou****ching what I ate. More power to you.

I know it wasnt the sugar, it was only 3 grams a serving and I only had about 4 bites with 1% milk. But It's all good....it only lasted a lil while and now I know to stay away from cereal for a while... Brandi~

Brandi if you felt flu like and horrible  - that is what dumping feels like!  You dumped..... so your pouch did not like the cereal and it is probably the sugar content of the cereal and the milk together...... Yes the pouch rules at all times lol!! Jackie

All of this is part of the learning experience we have to go through -- but it's all good.  I sure know what works and what doesn't with me to date -- and when something doesn't work, believe me, it is a long time before I go back and try again!  :)  Hang in there -- you have a great attitude, and are doing fantastic!

Good am Brandi, Cereal and milk together is a complication for many folks post-op. I'm 5 years + post-op and this is STILL not a good idea for me. The same rules apply now as they did in the beginning. That horrible flu like IS dumping. Its not a great feeling and if I were you I'd jot down what foods/drinks etc make you experience that and leave them alone. Hope you're doing well! All best.

Yep sounds like that cereal/milk combo got you.  You don't always have to end up at the toilet in order to dump.  Some of the other symptoms are headache, nauseau, sleepiness, sweats, chills, definitely kind of flu like.  I would wait awhile before you try it again.  Cereal/Milk is one of the ones that get to me, at 2 1/2 years out I still can't really handle it.
