Hi everyone.  I am new here and just hoping to find some support.  I am awaiting my approval but have been to see Dr. Yancey in Chesapeake.  I'm hoping to find some younger people to talk to, but anyone who has been through the surgery is welcome to contact me!! I look forward to talking with all of you!!

Hello and welcome!  Good luck and I hope for a speedy approval process for you! How old are you?  I am 32.  We have a good mix of ages, pre and post op and many WLS graduates who will all be able to help you along your journey.

Hi!   Good luck with the approval process.  I'm way pre-op - not having my surgery until July- and I'm 30.  I don't know if that's considered "younger" or not....I feel seriously old, but others disagree.... ;) You will love it here - it's a fun group.  Just jump in and say whatever's on your mind. Sorry about that... I am 25 and mommy to a year old.  I've been looking into WLS since I was 19.  Its finally taken my daughter to make me push forward.  I want to be here to take care of her. I'm amazed at the success that many on the board have had and look forward to getting to know everyone.  I am looking at having surgery in late June early July as I need my moms help after surgery and well I have to wait for summer break from school for both her and I.
