I am so proud of myself right now. As some of you know I got a treadmill and have been using it. Well today I figured out that if I have it on a even ground instead of a incline I can do it without holding on. So I just did 1.21 miles in 40:35 mintues at the rate of speed of 1.9 and burned 185 calories. This is a increase for me. usual it takes me 40 mintues just to do a 1 mile and that is holding on this time I did not hold on and swing my arms at my side and it felt good. I am tired but feel good.  Things are going pretty good I am maintaing a weight of 229 so that is down some and hope that will go down in time. I am going to keep up and maybe add some other excerses later. I hope that everyone has a great weekend and remember to walk and drink. Cannot wait to see how Jill and them did at the Ukrops 10K.

Good for you Pat!  A treadmill is a great way to get fitter! But one thing I want to add - you get a better workout when it is at an incline so you may want to consider alternating that one day and flat on the next so you can build up some stamina...... Jackie

Thank you Jackie when  we first put it up I did not reliaze that it was on an incline so I kept feeling like I was fallen off of it. Now that I have it flat it feels better and there is 1 knoch inbetween that I can use. unfortunitlky it is a manual flat to incline. I feel good that I can go and use it and not have to worry about the weather or that I am too tired to just go walk around the block.

THAT'S GREAT!  I am SO proud of you, because that IS an accomplishment.  When you don't hold on, you rely more on yourself and less on the treadmill.  This means that your body is starting to become accustomed to the treadmill and is getting stronger. Keep up the GREAT work!
