Good am, Just stopping in for a few to say hello and see how everyone's weekend has been. Jill & Joe I'm REALLY happy/proud of/for the both of you. What a TREMENDOUS 10k with record number of runners/walkers signed up and what a wonderful cause (the Massey Cancer Society) to contribute to. In addition, backing up to Friday night it was VERY nice to see you 3 Jill, Patrick & Joe for dinner. You have no idea how much I needed to get out and just "be" for a bit. Thanks for thinking of me and again VERY nice to meet you Joe (Jill please say hello to Patrick what an intelligent young man). Spent the majority of my day yesterday cleaning, running errands and spending it with my buggas. Due to the off and on again rain we picked mainly inside activities and hit up happy meals as a treat along with some neighborhood kids playing. We watched Alvin & the Chipmunks and cleaned out/up toy boxes/bins and got rid of a LOT of things. Such an accomplished feeling! Today we're going to relax and catch up on some down time. Its much needed after the last 3-4 days. Take care everyone. All best.

Morning beautiful!!!  I have had a fabulous weekend!!!  Friday night we went to see the new baby.  Can I just say it was love at first sight.  Yesterday we got up and went bowling with a couple of my nephews (they are staying with grandpa & dada while mommy & brother are at the hospital), another of my sisters & nieces stopped by, my girlies, me, my cousin & her son.  What a great time.  Then my girlies & I went to the mall and spent some time trying on bathing suits for fun.  Had some great family time last night & now here I am up already today.  We were supposed to be going to church this a.m. but no one else wanted to get up.  I have to admit that I am very disappointed.  I am trying hard to adjust my additude so that I don't let it ruin my day.  Well off I go to get ready to go to the grocery store so that we have stuff for breakfast when the sleepy heads wake up.  Have a great one!!!!!

I do understand in fact things are changing on this end and I'm commiting myself to a couple of things beginning in just over another week. A friend of mine and myself are going to be attending a Wed night bible study for women. She's been asking me to come to church and attend these studies and because of this reason or that (mainly not wanting to argue with others/long story) but I'm going, I'm excited and nervous all at the same time. So, it'll be "MY" time every Wed night no matter what! Enjoy the grocery store and family today. Kiss them and hug them. Love you.

Good morning!

Well, after my team played so pitifully last night (I'm a UNC fan - and last night, the way they played, they could have been beaten by the Our Lady of Peace Culinary School for Short, Overweight, and Unathletic Pre-teen Girls aka OLPCSOUPG. At least they got beat by Kansas - a good team) I had a hard time getting to sleep.

Then this morning was woken up at 5 a.m. by a loud crashing sound followed by the sound of water running. I thought that my idiot cats had been playing in the shower and turned it on. Oh, no. One of them bit, clawed, or whatever a hole in the hose that connects my toilet to my wall and it was spraying water everywhere. I tried to duct tape it - being a bit of a duct tape enthusiast - and all that did was make the water spray in different directions. I went to get a bowl to catch the water and finally realized - DUH, SARAH - that there was a knob that turned the water off. Wow. I live in a tiny one bedroom apartment. The good news is that I can call the maintenance people to fix this for me. The bad news is that's my only toilet. So after I mopped up the pool in my bathroom, I drove down to the "clubhouse" to use the bathroom. (There's a jacuzzi and a "gym" in there so we have an access code)

Tried to fall back asleep around 6 only to be awakened at 7 by my cats trying to fight with a cat on the other side of a glass door. yes they were yowling, screeching, and throwing themselves at the glass to get at this cat. It's not the first time they've done it. It's never worked. So I don't know why they keep trying. Anyway, my cats (who have, since I moved here, also locked themselves in the bathroom and been drywalled into the ceiling) just really need somewhere to live where they can be outside cats at least part of the time. I tried to put them on craigslist, but they wouldn't let you put pets on there. So do you know anyone who wants some cats? There's two of them, and they came from the same litter so I'd like to keep them together.....

So I'm getting ready for church now (been down to the office bathroom a couple of times) and I'm going to call maintenance about the toilet. It is a 24-hour service, but I didn't see any need to disturb them at 5 a.m. 9:00, though, I think is ok....I would like a toilet back!

Anyway, thanks for "listening" to my drama. Happy rainy Sunday everyone!

Sarah

P.S. - I'm serious about the cats. PM me if you know someone who wants 2 outside cats. I'll miss them, but they need to be outside....

Good am Sarah,  Wow thankfully I'm allergic to cats (ironic as that might be given I have cat like characteristics and its my name) cause I'd be kicking their butts this am. As for the potty the main. people need to get to that ASAP and I'd consider that an ER since its the only one you have. Hopefully you find some place for the cats to go. Hope your Sunday gets better. All best!

Hey Sarah...  I plan on pm'ing you about dinner plans, maybe this week but wanted to write you a quick note after reading about  your bad morning.  I am soooo sorry you got woke up that early, especially by cats, and yes, sorry to say, I am NOT a cat fan, lol...  But wanted to let you know that you can post pets on CraigsList.  You have to post them in the "pets" sub section of the Community section.  You can not sell pets but are allowed to offer them free to a good home or even ask for a minor re-homing fee.  I hope this helps hun and I promise I will write you this evening.  Right now we are off to the flea market where I had Cameron's baseball helmet airbrushed with his name and cool designs since opening day is next Saturday.  Have a gread day hun! Hugs, Theresa

Sarah, Sarah, Sarah...I absolutely adore your comedic writing, but honey, you ain't a salesperson...LOL!!  After describing what holy terrors your kitties are & then want somebody to take them in???  ROFLMBO!!!  Ummm...I'm just gonna guess...both are boys & both have NOT been neutered, right?

Good luck with finding them new homes & please keep writing.  You have the talent to write a book or two, I'll bet!

Hugs!

No! One's a boy and one's a girl...and they're both fixed! Maybe the "fixin'" doctor missed something in there.... I just don't know what to do with these things. I keep thinking that they'll get older and calm down (they're about 3 years old). I should have done what my friend did - she went to the SPCA and said, "I want the oldest, fattest, laziest cat you have". They're not BAD cats, they're just....energetic. That's why I think they need to be outside. But in my little apartment right on Broad St., I can't let them out.

*sigh* You're right, though... I probably shouldn't try and convince someone to take them at the same time that I describe their "adventures"...it's kind of like someone saying "ooooh! This is gross! Taste it!"

Btw, I didn't respond to your other post, but I love the new pic!

Thanks, Theresa!  I have never really used Craigslist and would never have found that section!  They did come to fix my toilet while I was at church today - the people here are really good about things like that.  It wasn't such a disaster, more of yet another cat story that I can laugh about......

Oh no problem.  I visit CraigsList way too much. Most of the time for pure enjoyment.  Check out the rant & rave section.  It really makes me wonder just how many crazy & unstable people there are in Richmond.  HaHaHa!!!!
