pnh dec 07 orientation

is there anyone out there who attended pnh dec 2007 orientation? what number are you? have you been contacted by the hospital for any appointments yet? are you still planning on roux-n-y or are you considering the lap-band? any input at this point is encouraging. i'm trying to be patient and wait for a consultation with the dr, but time feels like its standing still.i'm tempted to opt for tricare standard, but what if i have complications - the out of pocket costs! i just need to keep hanging in there i guess.

Hi.  I can not speak for those who went in dec 07 but I went in April 07 and I am having my surgery on April 29th.  I know the waiting stinks, I was upset at first myself.  Trust me though, take this time to learn everything you can.  Before you know it, they will be calling you.  I am having RNY and Dr. Mann is my surgeon.  I have not had any set backs other than my iron was down and I had to get my levels up which only set me back about 6 weeks.  My levels are going up and I am still taking supplements 3 x's a day until my surgery date.  Be patient, it will pay off.
