Hello, everyone!

nOne week ago today I was coming out of the recovery room following hernia repair. My doc was able to do laprosopic and thus less pain involved. Home on Sunday, recoverry is slow. Still on narcotic pain meds and unable to drive. Everything I eat tastes different...maybe the anesthesia. I went back to basics with my eating...eating what I should and eating by the clock. Switched to soy milk and drinking more water.    My energy level is nill, moving from chair to sofa to chair. Trying to do small chores like laundry, washing dishes and taking care of my cat.    With four weeks off from work, I am sure to gain my energy level and get in to some projects. Enjoying the sunshine and warm temperatures. Take care to all of you! Cindy Switzer

Glad to hear you are home & on the mend.  Hope the pain levels get better soon.  Energy will come back up.

So glad to hear you are home and on the mend, Cindy!  If you are going to have to be home for that amount of time -- what a great time of the year to do it!  :D

Good am Cindy, Glad to see you posting! Anesthesia is a pesky bugger seriously! It can have long term lasting effects on the body for months and months. So, keep that in mind! ANY moving around is a GREAT thing! It'll get better and better. Please lean on us for support if you start feeling down! All best!!

Hi Kit Kat,   Thank you for the support. Moving around makes me break out in a sweat...hopfully riding my body of the anesthesia and morphine. Just switched from Oxycotin to Tylenol. Withdrawal is tough...would never make a good druggy...thank goodness!    Drove for the first time yesterday...just to the store. Pooped when I got home. Rented some movies, too.    How are you doing? Love reading your daily entries...very positive and perky. Will you and your mom be at the next meet on April 19th? Hope so.   TAke care and being off from work the next few weeks will  bring  me here more often. Cindy
