Hi WLS friends!!!    Seven years ago I WLS surgery. At a visit to my PCP today and one week out of hernia surgery, I weighed 14# less than before surgery. On April 3rd I weighed in at 210....today 196#. Could there have been much fluid prior to surgery? One question to ask my surgeon. Has anyone who had hernia repair, have this happen to them? Just a thought. Now, my job is to loose more and than maintain. Got to start moving...walking!!! Cindy Switzer

Thats the attitude of success.  You are on the down side of the rollercoaster ride and just capped the highest peak. Enjoy the fastest part of the trip down the scales. It levels off as you get skinny.

Thank you, Joe. Being almost 7 years out loosing weight is harder. About 2 years ago the weight started to increase. For the last 6 months I felt more like I was stress eating as stress level was up due to health issues and work issues. Now, the health issues are almost over and I have a better handle on work. In about 4 weeks I can begin to workout...begin walking tomorrow. Cindy

Whoops, sorry I misunderstood.  At 19 months and already gone up from my lowest and now back down. I have really benefitted from a program called Burn the Fat Feed the Muscle (BFFM). A website by a bodybuilding professional that is selling his nutriton and exercise wisdom/experince and not a lot of smoke and mirror products that don't work anyway.  It is really a super-charged post op WLS program as I see it, full of great nutrition knowledge.  It cost $39 and I think it is a worthwhile investment.  I have lost 9 lbs since incorporating it and more importantly, my smallest pants are getting loose while I am still 10 lbs above my lowest weight since surgery.  I'm getting excited about the results again. Good luck with your continuing efforts. Joe

Joe,   I should have been more clear in my post. WEight management is tough. Thank you for the information. As soon as I can get back into working out, I will check into it. Best of luck to you as well. Cindy

BFFM is not working out, it is mostly about nutrition, eating to lose weight, and eating efficiently foods most effective for weight loss. Guess I wasn't too clear on that either.

I had gone from 224 back up to 247 between Jan and Feb.  I started working BFFM into my regime as I understood it and lost 9 pounds in the next two weeks.  I have gotten stuck at 238 + or- a couple of pounds but have increased my jogging distance and the same clothes are starting to get looser.  So I'm hoping the scale will move again soon.
