Anyone a member of the YMCA in Newport News?

I am thinking about joining and was just wondering what people think of it. I think it is on Warwick Blvd. I have only ever heard good things about YMCA's. I have heard bad things about Gold's Gym and Balley's. I want to join somewhere and I think you probably get the most bang for your buck at a Y. Thanks for any advice or comments!

While I am not a member in Newport News, I am in Stafford and it is a great set up.  A lot to do, reasonably priced...very pleased.  Hope that helps!  :)

I used to live there and when I did I was a member. It is top drawer!

I was a member and used the Hampton and NN facilities until last Aug.  Got tired of the bug spray smell that did nothing to kill giant ****roaches.  The NN facility has no indoor track.  You might want to try the YMCA facility on Magruder Blvd. It's a much newer facility

Im a member of the one in York. But if you sign up in Newport News and dont like it, or like the one in York better you can go to that one too. I know Ive never heard or experienced anyhting but good at Yrok. They have AWESOME CLASSES!!!!!!!

I love the one in York it's the Victory YMCA and i've been a member there since Jan. 07 and have never had a problem there...

91 pound's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Holy Sh@! girl!  Cant wait to start the gym this week. I had a surprise sneak up on me this week that gave me NO energy to work out....I forgot what it was like to have a regular system!

I have not been to the Y on Warwick, but the one on Magrurruder is new and nice. They are making great changes at the Y on Lasalle... this is where I go, because it is closer to me.
