Set new goals.

Has your WLS routine become almost second nature, like brushing your teeth? Do you have some spare time and energy now that you've gotten used to your new life? What are you doing with this new-found energy? Do you feel restless?

If so, this restlessness is a beacon of achievement. You are no longer content to sit and direct life from a chair. You want to jump in, and figure out what to conquer next. This is the signal to set some goals. By setting goals you will start to see a path, complete with obstacles that must be overcome. Setting several goals, in different areas of your life, helps you avoid having nothing to do after you've completed one. Revel in your new-found energy, and channel it to achieve goals that were once only dreams. Expand your life as you shrink your body. And take some risks.

Action for the day: Restlessness is not a signal for despair, but rather action. In your journal, write down a short list of goals encompassing several areas of your life: body, mind, spirit, relationships, health, finances, career, etc.
