Ok....Joe has been holding out on some of us. MapMyRun.com is a great website.  You can put in your starting point, and literally map your route and it will tell you how may miles the route is.  Plus, you can save that route, and search for other routes that others have put in. PLUS...there are some training stuff for beginners and such. And...it's not just for runners.  Of course walkers, hikers, bikers, etc. can use it too. Check it out! www.MapMyRun.com

I have totally been thinking about you today Jill. I'm in my reading while basking in the sun mode and in the May/June issue of Weigh****chers Magazine is an article I think you would find interesting and helpful. In fact, now I'm thinking about Joe, Natalie and others who are into to running or want to be or what have you. Its called A Change of Pace page 104. If you have time check it out. Its VERY informative and I learned a few things about walking that is VERY encouraging. In addition, there are the following pages that talk about beginner, intermediate and advanced levels of activity. I think it would benefit folks to read this. Again, I've learned some VERY valuabe tips. All best!
