Oh Nat........has it been a year?  Believe me, when I say, that first year is a *****the first of all of the holidays without her......1st's you would rather forget.  I have been so wrapped up in Michelle I totally forgot......pity party on my own part I suppose........know what I mean??

I will never forget that day and what it meant to us both........it was almost perfect ( would have been if I had met her in person!)  I knew when I heard, no matter what was going on, no matter the petty BS going on.......I had to be there, and the look on your face......I am SO GLAD Giz took me........that day cemented our friendship beyond anything we could have done as individuals, if that makes sense

I got this little gem from Michelle on my phone just before her accident.......and I will post it as a blog (Oh yeah, and BTW you have not met her yet......busy this weekend?? )  Cheers to lying, cheating, stealing and drinking........if you are gonna lie, lie for a friend.  If you are gonna cheat, cheat death.  If you are gonna steal, steal a heart.  If you are gonna drink, drink with me......

I am with you on this difficult day......hope you dont mind too much I shared with all of OH.........

Love.....
D

I just love listening to your "Mom stories".  She was an amazing lady for sure.  And how nice that her daughter is following in her footsteps.  In reading your post, a question came to my mind.  At the time of her death, who do you know that had a baby?  If no one comes to mind immediately, you may have to give that some thought.  The reason I ask that is because absolutely EVERY TIME someone dies, a new life joins us.  I am convinced that the one we said good bye becomes that new little life's Guardian Angel.  So who might your Mom be guarding today?  I am so glad that you are my friend, Nat.  I pray that you find peace rather than pain during this time.  I miss you & can hardly wait for May 3rd to get here.

Hugs!
Ann

You know , I am absolutley certain she watches me . There are so many signs around me   I don't know if I told you the story about the Sunday before the crash . She and I made an ole fashioned Mountain meal . Beans, Greens and Corn bread . No one to eat but us two. We had no corn meal but we had hushpuppie mix ... well anyone that knows cornbread knows hushpuppie mix is not the same .. but we made it . I will never forget her smile at the kitchen sink as we are tasting it . she looked at me and said laughing . " do you think anyone will know " I busted out .. and said Ugh .. yea Corn bread queen.. they will"  OMG My Mom was a hoot ! And yes I miss her . But she was only on loan to me from God and I hav to remember that everything is done in his time not mine .  I am much better ... I took the day to remember her . And as to Babies . I really do not know of anyone that did in my family . but I am sure there is always a spirit replaced by birth at death .  I am not going to be there on the 3rd. I leave for Boca on the 2nd . My MIL is having a womens group and they asked me to speak to the parents and kids of the complex about childhood obesity . I come back on the 4th . So . I miss it all . I know it will be great for everyone . Jackie has a lot planned I see and the speakers are awesome .  I too am so glad I met you that weekend . You truly made me smile with your laughter and your way of looking at life . You are real .. and that is what I love ..  Ok .. off to go do my vitamins ..  Love ya !  Tink

Corn bread out of hush puppy mix...that is soooo funny.  I have a similar MOM story.  When I was 14, my Mom was sick & had to stay in bed.  Me & my girlfriend wanted to do something nice to cheer her up so we decided to bake something.  All we had was stuff to make cornbread with & given the fact that my Mom is from Kentucky &, like you & your Mom, she enjoyed southern cooking.  Cornbread would be perfect.  Well, as we began to mix up the batter, I recalled seeing my Mom add sugar to her batter.  I decided to be even more creative so on that summer day in Waimanalo, Hawaii, chocolate cornbread was born.  On that very same day chocolate cornbread was declared a disaster but not by my Mom.  Bless her heart, she not only ate the piece we brought her, but asked for a 2nd.  Years later she confessed that as soon as we were out of the room, she tried to feed it to the dog.  Not even the dog would eat it!!!  She wound up pitching it out the bedroom window!! Ain't Moms grand???

Hugs!

Good am Natalie, Life takes us on many different paths in our journeys and although we face some trying times we are never alone but surrounded by the Lord and His wonderful blessings. To lose a loved one is a tremendous ache and our best options are to keep their memories alive and well and to remember the good times and things. Although you've been through many trials (which you had to go through) there is light at the end of the tunnel in which you were in and its not a freight train but instead the Lord, the family and the friends that make your life complete. I'm a believer in us being looked after by those in the here after and a believer in keeping the lines of communication open with those who have passed away. Talk to your mom, write to her, pay attention to the smells and the sounds and things that trigger great memories. They are all around us. Look to the word as a reminder that we'll be reunited again soon. For all the adversity we have and will face in Life its lessons taught and learned and it all makes us stronger. Take care.

Thank you Kat , those words mean so much to me .  I do talk to her all the time . And I just know she is with me .  The pain gets easier , but it never leaves.  The one thing that does get me through is His Promise. That we too will meet her one day and be New again . That to me is really exciting !!  Thank you again from my heart ,  Nat
