Forgot My 3 yr. WLS Anniversary!
When I first had my WL surgery I was super excited and every month on the 20th I would take a picture. At my 1 year anniversary I celebrated by getting my hair & nails done and my DH took me out dancing. The 2nd anniversary was just as important to me because I realized that I stuck to the committment that IS Weight Loss Surgery!
This last year has been very difficult for me for one simple reason...I cannot stop losing weight! I have a very difficult time maintaining weight and have to graze all day or else I start to drop weight again. I'm maintaining now at 106 pounds, but NEED to gain some weight in order to have my PS done.
I totally missed my anniversary this year! Does that make me sad? Heck No! For me it means that I have really changed my life. I do not dwell on food any longer, it does not rule my life. Even though I have to graze all day to maintain, I eat only healthy foods becuse I have too!! And not for lack of me trying those tempting foods...I cannot handle sugar in any form! Foods that are high in Carbs and Starches I cannot handle either. So breads, rice, potatoes, pastas, desserts are all a no go for me and I'm glad! I do miss me some Chicken & Dumplings but it's worth it to be healthy!
So, I was 3 years out on April 20th. My highest weight was 332 pounds and have lost 226 pounds!! I have been blessed with a supportive family and great friends. Here are few pictures of the new me!!

Be more concerned about your character than about your reputation, because your character is what you really are, while your reputation is merely what others think of you.
Congratulations Jackie , you are a true inspiration !!
I can relate to the weightloss . I too went through it as well . But I was able to get it under control.
I started eating more meals , and adding things like nuts.
I hope things come to some order for you on the weightloss. I know that it will .
Take care !

Tink
