Missing In Action
I know I have been absent for a long while, but the stress of not knowing if I was going to have a job or not was making me crazy.
Well, the decision was made today and another vendor was awarded the contract for the entire Inova system.
Needless to say I am bummed. This is the best hospital I have ever worked at and everyone was happy with my work. They made sure to explain that it was not something I did or didn't do but just a system wide decision.
Thanks for everyones support during this time of not knowing what was going to happen.
I have no idea where I will have to move to with my present employer of 22 years. Hopefully they will have someplace for me to go. Being 53 years old doesn't make me as good a candidate as some younger blood.

I'm sorry the hospital picked another contractor. I have faith you will land on your feet and make the best of it. There is much to be said for experience so don't think these young whippersnappers will take your place.
We are here to lift you up and stand beside you--no matter what. We are family here.

Michael I am so sorry - that really sucks! We were all wondering what had happened to you! I am sure you will get something acceptable soon as you are a great worker and they can't afford to let people like you do...
