The reality is, if you've never tried yoga before, it could very well become one of your favorite forms of exercise, and *****ally looks good in pink Spanx, anyway?
The benefits of yoga far outweigh the crude realities of Lycra. Now that you've had WLS, lost a significant amount of weight, and perhaps grapple daily with issues such as emotional eating, grazing, or even weight regain...consider the mind/body connection in a new light.
As your new body takes shape, are you connected to your new mind? What about your new spirit? Do you feel in sync? Are you living harmoniously today? One terrific benefit of yoga is that it builds awareness of your body and promotes the concept of oneness between mind, body, and spirit.

There's no legitimate excuse (sans a doctor's note), to not give yoga a try. If you are still hesitant about signing up for a class, you can always find a video online and try yoga in the privacy of your own home.
Before you sign up for the next available yoga class, you may want to recruit a friend. Go shopping together and find some comfortable and flattering athletic wear. It's out there waiting for you!
