What to do first?
Hi Darla,
I wanted to say welcome to the VA boards. You are doing all the right things by asking questions, getting yourself informed. You should also educate yourself on the surgical procedures too. Do you watch Big Medicine on TLC? It hasn't been on in a while but its a great show.
I am 5'4" and was 107 lbs overweight with several co morbities prior to surgery. I am considered a lightweight. In ten months I have lost 92 lbs and many inches. Check out my profile and read as many profiles as you can.
Good luck to you!
Ok...Hijack! HOLY CANNOLI!!!! You've lost THAT much weight! WAY TO GO, GIRL!!!!! Youa re alomost at goal!

So I run like a Girl....now keep up!
Ok I called the Commonwealth Surgeons to ask questions on what to do first.
Well its a recording asking if I want the package of info sent to me, just leave my address on the recording.
Well I would like to ask some questions first.
Is the package of info the same as the research I have already done?
Maybe I am rushing but I needed to know what steps I must take. Since I don't leave my house much due to the pain. I really don't want to take any unnecessary steps.
Since I can't go to my pcp till July, (thats when my part b kicks in)
I wanted to be prepared before I go to see my pcp. Like what info I need.
I want to choose a surgery doctor before I go see her (pcp) therefore want to get my info together first.
I can tell this wont be easy.
Is the seminar a requirement?? maybe this is where I should start?
What was the first thing you guys did when checking into doing this?
Thanks all
