Just an idea for the May 3rd dinner

Hi there.  I have been reading the posts and seen the trouble that ya'll are having trying to get together.  I unfortunately will not be able to join ya'll since my surgery is just going to have happened 4 days before but I thought maybe I could help.  I am great friends with a gentleman that owns a few Golden Corrals, namely one in my town.  He informed me that there was one in Manassas which is only about 25 miles from Ashburn, if I mapquested it correctly based on the information from the event page on OH.  I am not sure if that is too far to drive from where the event is but it may be a good idea.  It has the buffet, which several have stated they would enjoy.  It is very reasonably priced at about $12 a person and is on the OH website as restaurants that give WLS discounts.  And it has a bit of food for everyones tastes.  The local one even accomodates large groups regardless of the day of the week.  Maybe that one would  do the same.  Sorry if I am stepping on toes.  Just trying to help.

Not to change the subject, but where on OH site can you find the list of restaurants that give discount? Thanks, Penny

Yea our Golden corral here @ home does offer the WLS discount as long as we have our card from our DR so I eat kids price + drink when go an there salad is desent. So thanks for the information I dont know the area there so Ill leave it to the ones who do but that might work who knows.

You are absolutely NOT stepping on toes trying to help out, I promise! I think a 25 miles drive may be a little too far as some people will be from the other direction but that was very sweet of you to try and help - thank you! And if 25 miles is fine by people -it will be fine with me too! Thanks again for thinking of us    - sorry you won't be coming but you have a really great reason for not being there.
