May 3rd dinner

You know, that's why I didn't suggest anything before now -- there are tons of chain-type restaurants in Sterling, esp. around the Dulles Town Center. I sort of figured that these options had been explored, and discarded. I did clock it, and the Chili's in Reston IS about 10 miles away (like I said earlier, not far, but certainly not next door, either), at least according to Google Maps, which kind of, as my mother says, "takes you around the barn". (I'll poke at my cell phone later and see if I can't get the navigator to give me better directions). But, there ARE closer places. There's also been the suggestion of meeting at someone's house. Unless I hear differently from anyone, I'm going to go ahead and plan this like I said before. Thanks!

Most of the restaurants that we talked to will not accomodate 40 people on a Saturday evening and if Chili's will I say we go ahead and book it. Other nights when they are quiet they may have been interested but Friday and Saturday evenings they won't do it. Thanks for the other suggestions but really we did try some of these places before we got stuck and looked like we were about to not get in anywhere.... so yes we tried and discarded the idea....  It was a nice idea for people to open up their homes also but it is a heck of a lot of work - and if we can't get a Chili's to take us we very well may take someone up on that idea.... but I say let a restaurant do all the clearing up lolol!
