Surgery in Radford, VA

I am currently in the beginning phases of getting approved for surgery.  Has anyone  had surgery at Radford?  All I've heard is positive but would like to get as much input  as possible. Thanks

I have not heard anything about Radford, but I just had my surgery with Dr. Lucktong in Roanoke (not that far from you I believe). Best wishes, Penny

Everything went as planned. No complications at all. But I'm super, super sore...not from the incisions though. It feels like a pulled muscle on my left side. I think I may have done it pulling up from the couch or coughing. I don't know, it just feels like a pulled muscle to me.  I never did get really nervous. I just had a peace about it. Even as I went back Monday morning, I was okay and laughing and carrying on. I'm suppose to get in 64 ounces of fluids per day, but I'm having a hard time getting that much in. As I'm reading, it sounds like others had the same problem. Good luck on your surgery. We have a monthly support group meeting at Carillion in Roanoke the 1st Monday of the month at 7 pm. I won't make it this month, but would love to invite you to attend some if you can. Please keep us posted as you get a date etc. I hope some Radford patients will post on here. It is a great board and the members have helped me so much. It's nice to have others to ask questions, calm your fears and get motivation from. Welcome again, Penny
