Guess who it is?!?!?

Well hello everyone.  I am still in the hospital but finally out of Cardiac Care Unit.  With all those wires, that place was a death trap.  I am back in a normal room and am feeling fantastic.  I have a bit of pain in the larger incision, the one where the put the stapler through and it  is oozing a teeny bit but they don't seem to be alarmed.  They are doing the GI study tomorrow and I am hoping to go home tomorrow afternoon,. While the hospital is not horrible. I want to be im my own bed.  The dr says my surgery went overall well.  My liver, even though I did that silly diet. was still fat, very fat he said so they biopsied it.  They had to do a retro reconnection because, even though I'm big, inside my belly area is not.  So here I am , all ready to start this new life.  Thank you to everyone who wished me well, sent me messages oer even thought enough about me to ask.  But I am sure, seeing that we all came from the same place, ya'll can relate.  I am feelng a bit woozy and do need to walk so I will write more but thank you to everyone.  Hugs & love to each of ya'll

Hello everyone  newbie fence sitter here  with many...many questions . Has anyone gone to MW hosp ?  I live in Ruther Glen / Ladysmith area. Thank you in advance........  I have my 1st meeting on May  14th .

Well hello fence sitter!!  :)  Welcome to the VA Board and to OH!  Go ahead and post your question as a new topic so that everyone has a chance to respond to you.  Just a suggestion... We have some great people here and we all love talking about our experiences.  When you say first meeting do you mean your first appt with a surgeon?  Or maybe with a support group to get more information?  What type of surgery are you considering? I had gastric bypass in December and am down 116lbs so far.  It's been a wild ride.  :)
