First of all  Thank you lady's for all the candid reply's i wouldn't have it any other way . By the way my name is Lee Anne & here goes the open book . I do qualify for this wls i am  218 my  bmi is  39 but i come with tons of medical baggage diabetes, hypertension, reflux bad knees & back . I also forgot to mention my OCD  I have also had back surgery L4-L5 herniated disc, gallbladder appendectomy & a tubal ligation so thats  4 surgery's. I will attend the meeting on May 14th just to gain more knowledge about this . You all are great & the the ones that took long to decide i guess im pretty much normal in feeling that way . Yes i am tired of not being there for ME & i do get sick of looking in the mirror & seeing all the broken veins ,cellulite & lumps, bumps & extra  blubber. I just want to know can you feel the band inside of you ? I plan on sticking around here for a bit if you will have me i have not rulled out this surgery. I am not looking for anyone to make the choice for me that is something i have to do on my own  ( as usual) i cannot be talked into anything i don't already want to do . Again Thanks for responding  you all sound like a great group

Lap Band on 07/16/07 with
Lee Ann, I am SO PROUD OF YOU!  I really am.  You asked for honesty, we gave it, & I was pretty bruttal, and you took it all in & came back.  I get it why you are apprehensive about yet another surgery, but honey, this one will change all that if you work that tool for all it's worth.  And by the way, you don't even know that the band is in there.  I, too, have had more than my share of surgeries over the years.  Tonsils, appendix, gall bladder, multiple female stuff to include tubal & THEN hysterectomy at age 26.  I've just had my FOURTH defibrillator implanted, not to forget my band surgery.  All total about 30 surgeries over the years.  I hate them as much as you do but I also appreciate that we have such technology available to us.  I wish you only the best success in researching all this weight loss stuff.  Trust in your instincts & that you will make the best choice for yourself.  And by all means, KEEP COMING HERE.  There really is strength in numbers & you can get that here.

Hugs!
Ann
