Feeling much better

Just wanted to say thanks to all for your help and comments with my pain. Since Sunday, I have gradually been feeling better. Yesterday and today, I feel great. I think that pain was just gas...never knew it would hurt that bad. Upping my water has helped with the whole problem. And I tried the Gas X strips. I feel like a new person and ready to get back to "normal life" now. By the way, I've lost 18 pounds if you include the pre-op diet...9 since the day of surgery.  Thanks to you all for your support, Penny

Good am Penny, I'm glad you are feeling better! CONGRATS on the 18 lb gone so far and I hope you continue to feel better and better. I remember those days and really the only things that worked were walk, walk, walking and sip, sip, sipping to get the gas moving out of my body. Its a minor thing with major irritations in the beginning. Hopefully its now a memory! Enjoy your Tuesday!

I know I have probably read that sip, sip, sip  and walk, walk, walk a 1000 times, but I guess I did not take it seriously enough. So to all the upcoming surgeries, it REALLY WORKS. They really mean lots of water.  I called my nutritionist yesterday and asked if it was a problem with me drinking more than 4 ounces of water per hour. She said as long as there is no chest pain, , but that 8 ounces an hour is about the limit she would recommend at this point. Upping the water has really seemed to get my system working.  Thanks Penny
