I go for the Essure Procedure tomorrow

Well I am off tomorrow to get the Essure procedure done.  I am very excited about it given the amount of drugs I take that cause birth defects.  Wish me luck that it is 100% effective.  I'll find out in 3 months time.  If your interested the website is www.essure.com

Good luck.  Let me know how this works out for you.  My sister-in-law is done having kids and is considering options, but we didn't know anyone who has had this procedure.

I will definitely let you know how it goes.  I started checking into options when my ob told me he wouldn't do a tubal on me due to the RNY scars...can you believe.  I had more scaring from the c-section that he performed.  Oh-well I guess this was ment to be.  I really like this OB much better anyway and I think I may keep him....lol.  He said he doesn't even open the procedure pac****il he knows for sure that he can make it in through my cervix to do the procedure.

Best of luck to you Anna. I will have you in my prayers.  Also, I had a tubal in 1998 and then 6 months later I had a tubal pregnancy. Go figure. I wish this had been around 10 years ago. Penny

Anna, I hope it is easy on you and successful! I've been seeing the television ads but don't know anyone who's had it! I had a hysterectomy at 38 and probably should have had it earlier due to all the trouble I was having so this procedure sounds ideal!!! CeCe

Thanks everyone for the good thoughts and prayers.  Melinda, that is great to hear.  I have heard nothing but good things about it.  I am excited to get it done.  So I won't be stressed about getting pregnant.  It's great to know someone who has had it done!!
