I am so excited.  Just heard today that I got approved by the insurance for all the pre-op testing.  I will be going next week for Upper GI, EKG, labwork, excercise physiology.  It took so long to get approval I was beginning to worry.  I hear things go pretty fast after all the testing is done.  I am excited right now, a little scared but I know I'm doing the right thing.  I need to take care of this now.  I'm in my forties and I want to have a better quality of life for the next forty years.  Keep me in your prayers. I am excited.  I'm looking forward to doing all the things I can't do now! Also looking forward to going to the beach and not looking like a beached whale. Thanks for your support!

Thanks, Looks like you recently had surgery.  Did it go well?  I've heard it's no more painful than gallbladder surgery.  Thanks for your support.

My surgery went well. I had no major complications. I had some soreness and gas pains but I feel really good now. It was not that bad. I've never had gallbladder surgery, so I don't have a comparison for you.  Best wishes, Penny

Hey there.  I too, just had surgery on April 30.  While everyone is different, I had very minimal pain.  I was discharged on this past Saturday and an hr later, went to shop at Walmart.  Regarding the gall bladder.  I ended up having mine removed at the same time, so have 2 extra incisions but again, no pain.  I am sure you will be fine!
