Update on me

I was told everything had to be the consistency of soup or pudding on this stage. I tried to puree some tuna fish the other day, but it was not appetizing at all.  Thanks, Penny

Here's the list from my book for pureed: inside of a 'taco bell' taco (not the shell) inside of a bean burrito (beef, beans, cheese, sour cream, taco sauce) pintos & cheese inside of cheese manicotti (only cheese and sauce, no noodle) blenderized chili gravy over mashed taters blenderized crab/lobster bisque blenderized soup bean soup (no lumps) egg drop soup (no chunks) strained hot and sour soup blenderized brunswick stew I did a blenderized version of shrimp with sauce and natural baby foods (personally, I loved the corn casserole).  I also would do a meat based stew belnderized and put a dollop of that on mashed taters.  That was my Christmas dinner.  HA HA.  You can imagine the stares I got when I came to the dinner table with my two tablespoons of food on a bread plate.  :)

Thank you all for the great ideas. I have a mother/daughter banquet on Saturday with my 9 year old daughter. I can imagine the stares I'm going to get there also.  Thanks, Penny

First off, terrific to have you back, posting on your own.  And terrific news that you are doing so well!  Now, as to the other stuff...your weight loss team is the final word on everything.  You wrote, "...I have gotten so much conflicting info from people."  Would that be people from this board or elsewhere?  While it's true that we have some very knowledgeable people here, you still refer to your wl team first & foremost.  So if they say you're on target, then you are.  Keep up the great work, happy healing, & welcome to the best bunch of losers in the world!!!

Hugs!
Ann

Yup I agree with the others your weight lose team is your first and last word on everything.  If doc says you can have it then you can.  Bottom word!!  I am glad to hear you are healing and doing so well.  Welcome to the losers bench!!!

Welcome home!! Glad to hear that things went well.  Of course it is tough in the beginning to get everything in.  Just keep working on it.  And like the others said, just check with your surgeon & follow their guidelines.
