Good am, How are ya'll doing? GREAT I hope! How was your Thursday? Ours was for sure loaded with lots of twists and turns and things in between. I woke to what seemed like EVERYONE being crabby apples BUT me for ONCE this week. Difference is I haven't truly let mine affect anyone else but me. So, I took each situation with each person and let them vent and get out whatever they needed to and didn't talk back much if at all. Seems like that's what they needed. Anyhow, got a lot of things done in the process and so I feel good about that. Did NOT get to making some other phone calls as I was honestly busy up to my ears in bills, doctors, chores, errands, the buggas, putting out fires and finally evening comes and I get a few minutes peace. My sis comes to get me for dinner with our friend Lynette and it was funny, needed and enjoyed. I count myself SO blessed cause I had TWO great nights of laughs and breaks even though I was once again so tired! What's on the books for your Friday/weekend? Today whew doggies I got errands to run, hopefully so "me" time with a mani/pedi & wax, hopefully get some work done, get my phone calls list completed from yesterday (its that bad that I've not even checked voicemails since about 9 something am) and hope to breathe some time in there. For the weekend its supposed to rain (heck today its supposed to) I'm hoping to get to the movies and get some fun things in. I hope that ya'll enjoy your Friday/weekend immensely. Big hugs to everyone and thanks for letting me be a part of your life/journey. Hugs...............

Good morning Sweetie! No saying rain for the weekend. Well at least not for Saturday. At least let me get the party out of the way. This morning I am off to the school to vent a bit t the principal. Seems as though when Cameron was on the school bus, some kid thought it was ok to karate chop him on the head. Cam got off the bus hurting, poor thing. So since the principal didn't think she needed to call me back yesterday, I am going to be there bright and early this morning. Oh the joys of motherhood. After that, it is final shopping and cleaing for the party. Have a great Friday. Hugs everyone!

Good am Theresa, I am a lover of all things nature especially rain, thunderstorms etc but even I have times when I'd really like to have some weekends without it. We're blessed though as its making the garden grow well and so I can't complain. Been there as well. A child cut Kayla's hair last year and I was livid then another also taught her (as I mentioned to ya'll Wed night) the F bomb and recently there was an issue on the bus and well let's just say I'm well known in her school that's for sure. Kids will be kids but there comes a point when you gotta stick up for them. Hope you get things accomplished. Hugs ...........

Good morning!

Yesterday picked up a bit after I had my little cry at my desk but it was busy as usual with traveling to Charlottesville for my former principal's retirement dinner and not getting home until about 10:30. I haven't gotten home before dark any day this week, so I will tell you what is on the books for today - NOTHING. I'll probably go the gym and the store and do laundry after school, but basically I am not going out tonight. All of the things that have kept me out late this week have been fun, but I'm exhausted.

On the "things-happening-today-that-I'm-not-excited-about-and-may-even-have-a-panic-attack-over" front - the "Snake Man" is coming to school today. I could NOT be more petrified of snakes. I have nightmares and wake up screaming. I should have stayed home sick today - he's not coming until 12 and I'm already feeling sick to my stomach. My sweet teammates have agreed to take my kids for me but I haven't told my principal yet (I think I've been blocking it out!)

Hope everyone has a super weekend!

Sarah

Sarah, you have my sympathies... but I have to tell you that I am sitting here, envisioning your beautiful face and smile all twisted up, horrified at the thought of being near those snakes. Oh, I understand all too well, since I suffer from the same reaction. As a matter of fact, the hair on my neck is standing up just typing these words to you! It sounds like you have wonderful teammates, so let them take good care of you today. And enjoy your down time tonight - it is well deserved!

My week as been... well "meh" would be the best way to describe it. The best part was our gal's meeting at the bookstore on Wednesday, so I'm VERY glad I did that! Unfortunately, the rest of the week has been filled with procrastination, restlessness, moodiness, grazing, and the ever present annoyances of a 14 year old son who thinks he is the be-all-and-end-all. But. But. But... today is Friday and that is typically the day when I pull it all together, get caught up on all kinds of crap and try to save the weekend. This Friday will be just that. I have to travel to Boston very early on Sunday morning and will be working there at our corporate offices for the entire week - don't get home until near 11 on Friday night! On the one hand, I'm dreading it... but I'm trying to remember that I usually enjoy seeing everyone there and it's a chance to wear some spiffier work clothes and get a little more dressed up than I do in my home office every day!

Mary - You crack me up.  We have so mu*****ommon :)  Not that I have a 14-year old, but I have met 14 year olds so I can only imagine! I always say that I would love to have kids - if we can skip the teenage part.  Enjoy your trip!  (I know you'll miss that 14 year old)  Sometimes a change of scenery is just what we need to shake the "meh"s off!!!!!
