home from the emergency room!
Well after a few days of an incision not looking all that great, I finally went to the dr. The incision, the one where the J-tube was, was draining and not really healing as well as I thought it should be. I went to the emergency room at the hospital where I had my surgery. The dr told me that it was infected, they swabbed it and are waiting for the results to come back, by tomorrow he said. But he is pretty positive that it is MRSA. That makes the 4th time in 2 yrs that I have had that. And just my luck, it's in this incision. They have put me on Bacterim, which is the drug of choice for MRSA, 2 huge horse pills twice a day for 30 days. These huge things are going to take up all the space in my pouch. Thank god I don't get hungry any more. I have to call the surgeon tomorrow and see what he wants to do but I am praying that I don't have to be admitted again. Ya'll say a prayer! Please!
Teresa I am so sorry to hear this but want to caution you - do NOT take these pills whole or you may hurt yourself if they are so big.... please talk to your surgeon and make sure he is informed about this and find out what he wants you to do about the pill situation....
Take care and I will hope you don't have to be admitted also....

You can probably take everything you are supposed to take in one dose - only your doctor can tell you if you could split up the dosage - all I am saying is do not try to swallow anything big so soon after surgery in case it gets stuck - then the pain will be unbearable.... Just after surgery and for a couple of weeks afterwards I had to crush my pills up totally.... Jackie
I would be honored to be a guest at your meet and greet. Although I may have Cameron with me even though I read that Connor wasn't going to be there. Ever since surgery, Cameron doesn't let me get away too much and he loves being such an active helper with this weight loss. Please let me know if I can bring anything to help. Hugs to you!
Connor's previous au pair still comes to see him every two weeks so she was here tonight and they often take him for a weekend which will be far more fun for him that being here at 4 years old with all of us - so they jumped at the chance to take him that weekend. . There may be other kids there and we can find something fun for them to so they don't distract us.... because we are pretty noisy when we all get together. But if Cameron can put up with all of us be will be fine - and welcome! We need helpers lol!! Just bring a side dish of some kind and we will supply everything else....
I am so hapy that you are coming!
