Yearly Check Up Results

Today I visited Commonwealth for my annual check up for my RNY surgery. Everything went great ! That was until Janeen found a hernia . Yepper , I have a hernia .  I was almost expecting it , as I knew I had been having pain there when I was exercising. So ... as of today no lifting - puling and I had to cancel my weight trainer.  No surgery for me. That is a good thing , she does not want to open me up if there is not really bad pain, or obstruction. I have had 14 of these ( Pre RNY ) , so I know what to look for if this becomes dangerous.  So , for now we will treat it with the binder, and limited exercise. I can walk , and swim so I am going to change up my exercise regimine.  I had my lab work done and will get those results back in a couple of weeks .  I did not tell you all , but I had a visit to the ER , another kidney issue Tuesday night . I have another kidney infection-but treating it with Leviquine . The Doctor thinks I may have passed another stone as well. I feel fine now, just a little overwhelmed about the week in general .  I need to get better, as I head to Disney Monday !!  I have my heart set on seeing Tinkerbell as you all know --- so many prayers please !!  Take care you all ... !  Nat

:(  sorry to hear about your hernia but glad no surgery is in store.   Hopefully Tinkerbell can wave her wand and make it go away. 

Awww dangit. If only you had been there yesterday, when I had my 4 week follow up. We could have had lunch together or something. I am sorry about your hernia but glad Jeanine found it before it became severe. Also glad you don't need surgery. Please, please, please take care of yourself so that you won't miss your trip on Monday. Have Tinkerbell sprinkle you with fairydust for quicker healing. Have fun and please be safe!!

Thats not great news, at least no surgery. Relax and just think about how happy you will be in a couple days. Have fun!

Oh no!  I hope you are able to just adjust your exercise type for now and get that kidney infection in check.  Have a wonderful time at disney seeing tinkerbell!

Sorry to here about the hernia and kidney infection. I will  definitely pray for you. Disney world here she comes, have lots of fun esp. with tinkerbell. Keep us posted on your condition. Betty
