Question about smells and nausea

Two thoughts: One is fluids. If you're dehydrated you're likely to feel dizzy. The other is your blood pressure. You may look at seeing if you have LOW blood pressure. That can be made worse if you're dehydrated to boot.

I know my hydration is fine...but LOW blood pressure may just be. I have always had a pretty weak pulse and I have also found that I have low blood pressure from time to time. I did get in an isopure and my vitamins today and I havent had any problems so I now know that I just need to be more disciplined in my protein and vitamins :) Thanks 4 all the help Brandi~

I swear I am not picking here. What are your doctors telling you about vitamins and protein. Here is why I ask. You said you got your vitamins in today? How is that possible this early in the day? Maybe I am on a different regime but I have to take my Flintstones morning and afternoon and I have to take my Calcium Citrate 4 times during the day. Also, you said you got an Isopure in. Aren't those 40g of protein? If so, maybe that is part of the problem. Your body can't absorb all that protein at once, so you need to break up up and do that 40g over two sessions. The more info we have the more the more we can help. Blair

Sorry you are feeling under the weather. As Blair mentioned it could be blood pressure related. I can relate to it being hard to eat sometimes. I think right now, with me, it is more nerves about eating, though, especially since I am introducing new things. I think what you said about taking in more protein is a good thing, especially since you mentioned in a previous post that you had not had any protein supplements since surgery. Good luck to you though. I know how hard it is.

Yes it could very well be - milk causes many people to be lactose intolerant after surgery. Unjury tastes just fine with water......... talking of Unjury I am off to make myself some protein balls with Unjury chocolate - yummy!! Jackie

Hey Sweetie!!!  I can't advise you on this because I don't have enough knowledge.  But I did want to say how glad I am to see you back here with us.  Sucks that I can't pop in to see you at the mall anymore but I read your post from a few weeks ago & it sounds like you're very happy with you new job.  We got to get together one of these days, yes?

Hugs!
Ann

Ok Miss Brandi...I'm sitting here with egg on my face, feeling very silly.   Even though I saw YOUR face, for some reason my brain became focused on Tiffany, thus the comment about not seeing you in the mall anymore.  Now that I realize (with Jen's help) that I'm talking to YOU, BRANDI, I'm still glad to see you back.  You've also been somewhat MIA.  So welcome back, sweetie!!

Hugs!

I drink at least one glass of milk daily as suggested by our docs and nut.  I cannot do any cereal or breads. On rare days, If I don't get in more than 70g of protein I feel sluggish.  I would call yoru PCP or the bariatric clinic about your dizzyness and ears. Good luck and let us know what happens. edited to add: How about ricotta cheese, string cheese, beans, ham and bean soup, lean roast beef, turkey to up the protien? Also  I use the Nectar proteins. I love the Lemon Tea. As matter of fact..gotta go get me  a drink!
