HELP! I'm So Hungry....
I am on my 4th day of clear liquids and today was bowel prep, so no protein. I am starving, and feel weak. Aside from sleeping my day away to get to the next
,does anyone have any tips on curbing this insatiable feeling of hunger. I am drinking, what feels like a gallon of liquid an hour. I walked in on my husband eating chips and cheese and I had to walk away in a hurry. Any liquids that may be more filling than others?
(mmmm...cake...)

Yes, actually, I finished the Phospho-soda today, so I am on clear liquids from now til midnight tomorrow. The shakes really helped with the first part of this, but now I can't have them. I guess I will just keep drinking, as I am really thirsty and can't seem to quench it. Thanks for the sympathy, I feel like such a whiner, but I figured if anybody could understand what I am feeling it is the good folks on this board. Lisa
I remember that feeling well! I am sorry I can't offer any words of wisdom but clear liquids usually include jello - because it is just liquid after all - and if you can see through it is is clear - well you can certainly see though the sugar free ones - and there may be some popsicles that are clear looking - they just don't want any strong colors.... maybe someone who has gone through it recently will remember better than me - I know I did eat clear soups but you can only eat so many of them before they become boring too...
Good luck!

I feel your pain. Just two months ago I went through the same thing. I even told Dr Mann the morning of that I would kill him for a french fry...lmao
The ONLY thing that made a difference to me was to actually buy the chicken noodle soups and strain them. I dont know why but it was more filling. It was still clear liquid but maybe the seasoning or something helped. It just seemed thicker!
I also was having hypoglyxemia issues ( I know I didnt spell that right ). I know how you feel..believe me it made a HUGE difference for me!
Just a couple more days!!!

Hey Brandi! Looks like you're halfway to goal. How wonderful is that?
I strained soups too post-op during the 2-week liquid stage, but the better taste and fuller feeling is due to fat content. It might not be right for the bowel prep stage unless the doc said it was OK. I dunno since I wasn't lucky enough to go thru that!

Yes I cant believe I hit half way this fast. I mean I dont think I did it any faster than anyone else but I guess I just didnt think that not even three months out I would be at half my goal! It is truly exciting! Esp since Im heading to another Disney Vacation the end of Aug and Im really pushing myself to posibly be at goal around that time. I think I can do it after raching half at a lil over two months out!
I know I will prolly hit a non losing spot eventually and that exercise will be the determining factor...but Im prepared to see that through!

I HATE the clear liquid phase!!!
Chicken broth helps ... it is warm and can feel like you are eating something.
Just remember ... it came to pass. You will be on the other side of this soon!

Good am Lisa,
Today is a new day & hopefully you are just about done with this and moving onto the next stage in your journey. I never had to do the bowel prep but have had to do ALL fluids deals and the longest was for FIVE farkin' days. It was SO long and I learned to LOATHE Jell-O for a LONG time. For me, it was sf pops, jell-o, protein drinks, soups, slushies (crushed ice over different flavors of Crystal Light) and I kept telling myself only x amount more days then hours then I was done.
All best!

Well thank you all for your tips. Funny thing is, today I am in this bubble of calm. I feel light as a feather, I guess that is the hunger taking on a new face. I don't feel hungry, though. I still don't konw when I am supposed to go to the hospital tomorrow, but I am packed and ready. I had purchased a womens robe, but after it was washed it was too short to cover my bootie, so today I went to walmart and got me a mans robe and mens slippers too, as they were way more comfortable and I have really big feet! LOL. I am ready....
