Congratulations Lisa! Welcome to the bench. I know it's been a long difficult road for you to get here, but it is so worth it. Rest, sip, walk

Hi, Lisa:  So glad to hear you are home and "up and about!"  As the others have said, walk, sip and take care of yourself.  Welcome to the bench!  :)

I will do all that you have suggested.  Right now I am trying to get in so acid blockers to help with my heartburn.  I just finished eating about a teaspoon of yogurt and a teaspoon of cottage cheese.  I tried some refried beans, but no way jose.  I overfilled my pouch last night with water and proceded to have the worse panic attack I have ever had.  Pain meds were late, and I misunderstood her instructions for the water.  I ended up drinking about 18 oz of water in a 30 minute period.  Oh the pain.  Now I feel like I am struggling a little.

First of all Lisa - stay calm and breathe! You did something that hurt but you won't quite do it again. At the beginning there feels like there is so much to remember, but I promise it does get better....... Refried beans may feel a little bit heavy on the pouch right now so I would start ligtly with yoghurt and very light foods...... Your nutritionist should have give you a sheet with what you can eat and how much to drink and when etc. so try to follow what she says and if you are unsure you should call them............. I can only imagine the pain of 18 ouces of water after surgery - actually I can't even imagne HOW you were able to do that???? I so hope you are feeling better now You will feel better as time progresses I promise..... Jackie
