Prayers/Mom

Good pm all, Am asking for prayers for my mom & our family right now. Mom has been admitted to the hospital just a bit ago after having spent the better part of the pm and this am violently ill. Just after 5:30 am she went to the ER and in the time since, through MANY tests to include a CT scan, blood work etc, its been discovered that she has a mass/thickening of the intestine wall (which COULD mean a couple different things at this point). Her white blood cell count is very high, she's been in intense pain, is continuing to vomit (since last pm through now as I'm typing this post) and has been given anti-nausea meds, morphine and is receiving fluids via IV. I was in the process of speaking with her as she began getting so ill the nurse took the phone and asked me to let the doc assess her and he'll give me a call momentarily. The ER doc gave some indication of what she believes to be the cause but until its confirmed I'm choosing to wait for the facts. Please keep her & us in your prayers and I'll keep ya'll posted as soon as I have more information. Thanks in advance. -Kat

OMG Kat! I am soooo sorry. When she was suffering from the heart burn last night, I would have never anticipated that she would become this violently ill. My thoughts and prayers are definitely with you and your family, of course. But I am glad that she has been admitted to the ER and that they are diligently working on finding what the cause of the problem is.

Please let her know that I am praying for her and thinking about her. If you need anything, me to take her something, a sitter for the kids, someone to vent to and listen, I am here to help you out, you know that! You have my number so please keep me posted on how she is doing and the outcome. And if she would like a visitor or someone to sit with her so you can have a 5 minute break, I'd be happy to help. Again, I am sooo sorry and am thinking about ya'll. Much love & hugs!

Oh my lord - poor Pat - please tell her we are all concerned for her and to do what the doctor tells her - although it sounds like she is too sick to argue - she is in my thoughts! Jackie

Oh, Kat, I am so sorry to hear that!!!  Please tell your Mom that I send my best, and that she is in my thoughts and prayers, as are you and your family.  Please keep us posted on how she is doing!
