Kinda excited about this!

Hi all!  Just wanted to send a quick update.  So I saw my pcp on Tuesday, and she wants me to go see a nutritionist and do a sleep study.  So the nurse called me yesterday and I don't need a referral for either one.  Well in the meantime, I had talked to a few ladies on here who have the same insurance as me and they let me know how they handled their stuff...thank you ladies!  I am now scheduled to attend a wls seminar at Fair Oaks Hospital on the 28th of this month.  I am really excited about seeing and hearing first hand the doctor's and nurses.  The lady I scheduled the seminar with told me to go ahead and do the sleep study because if I were to really have sleep apnea and they not know it, might not be good because there is different sleeping meds they give you.  So, I am going to proceed with that.  She said they make you see a nutritionist as well, it's one of there's so you learn what to do anyways.  She said this doctor makes you losr 10% of your body weight before he will do wls on you anyways.  So, I do believe I am really looking forward to getting up early on a Saturday to go and do this!  Just wanted to share my feelings and say thank you to everyone who has given great words and advice!!! Which surgeon is it? It sounds like Moazzez... in which case, you could not be in better hands. (well, I am a little biased ) Best of luck! PS: Losing 10% sounds a lot harder than it ends up being, if you're really dedicated to it. Get ready for a lot of meat and salads!

Hi!  It is a seminar for Moazzez, I am ecstatic of what my life could be in only a year!  So you are happy with him then...lol!  I did read his page here and saw his testimonials and was very pleased!  Well I do love salads and meat is yummy too, so I hope you are right about it coming off quickly!!  Thanks again and I will keep you updated! It sounds like the planning is coming along nicely and before you know it you'll have all these appts under your belt and be looking for that surgery date!  Great to hear from you!
