OT: Need some suggestions
Matt has been getting calls on his cell phone from a telemarketing company that's trying to sell him extended warranty on his car. These calls come several times a day, EVERYDAY. He doesn't even have a car!! I have spoken to them many, many, MANY times, in various tones of voice, telling them he doesn't have a car & asking them to take us off their call list. I've asked to speak to a superisor & they hang up. I've been promised no more calls only to have them call again a couple of hours later. I just got off the phone with Sprint, our cell company...they offered to change his number but that would be a huge pain in the butt. Do any of you have any experience in dealing with this situation? Any suggestions on what to do? This is now blatant harrassment. Thanks!!
I havent had this experience but it was on local news about these scams.

Love ya!

I looked it up today. If you haven't already add Matt's cell number to the federal do not call list www.donotcall.gov. If he already had his number on file for 31 days you can make a complaint. If not, wait out the 31 days, keep a log off all the calls you get (date, time and number) and then make the complaint. The most important thing is to keep a log of all calls. I learned that make in my police dispatch days. You need this information if you make a claim of harrasment. You can't just go in with "they keep calling me". :)
