Beyond PISSED right now

Nate just told me that Ani Difranco was in town yesterday.  She's my ABSOLUTE favorite artist since I first discovered her 14 years ago.  I first saw her on college campuses where you were literally 3 feet from the stage.  Over the years she BLEW UP and started booking major gigs and the shows changed (sold out arenas).  I haven't been to a show in years because she never comes around to our area, I don't even bother looking at the tour schedule anymore.  The last time I saw her I drove down to GEORGIA and that was 8 freaking years ago.

I asked Nate why he didn't tell me about it and he said that he was working last night and I couldn't go alone.  BULL****  So I look on her website and GET THIS - the concert was tonight at the National.  NO DAMN EXCUSES WHY WE COULDN'T HAVE GONE.  I'm not familiar with the place but would wager to say being a local Richmond gig it would have been like the old days where it would have been more "personal".  I'm SO upset.  I'm SO pissed at him.

If his favorite band (Greenday) was in town and I knew about it, I would have had tickets already waiting and would have surprised him.  I'm SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO mad.  He is on my **** list and he ain't coming off anytime soon.

Sorry, needed to vent.  I just want to cry.  He is the most selfish f'er alive.

Men just don't think sometimes & when they do it tends to be selfishly!  I feel your pain as I go through the same types of things with my hubby.  Maybe Nate will think of something to make up for it.  Try not to let it ruin your day.

I'm sorry this didn't work out for youl. Rest assured I know EXACTLY how you feel. I've been to the National and its a great place and there are 2 parking decks literally behind/beside it. Anyhoo....hope this doesn't ruin your day. Sometimes some don't realize their actions or inactions really hurt.

Sorry to here this and hope your day gets better. Just remember this the next time you decide to buy him that next  special something he wants. Dont do it. ANd Dont let him live it down either. Every chance you get let him know he hurt you in his choice. Take care darling and hope to see ya soon.

We forgive much but forget nothing...lol.  Sweetie, I know he hurt your feelings, but if it were me, I'd want to know the REAL reason why he went out of his way to keep you from that concert.  Someone on here jokinly mentioned that maybe you're looking too good to go out in public without him, but could it be that there's some real truth to that?  It could be that I'm just being super-sensitive right now giving what Mike is going through with his health & what we will find out on Thursday.  Yes, he ticks me off sometimes, but I just cannot imagine my life without him in it.  I'm just going to leave things right here & give you some time to mull things over.  However, I have a very simplistic way of looking at most things...if it was meant to be, it would have.
