Mama-
I just wanted to publically thank you for all you've personally done for me over the past few weeks. You opening your home and heart has been an absolute joy. Driving out to your home I always feel my worries and struggles left behind. Sharing your family and letting me join in the fun has been a welcomed addition to my life. I truly have grown to love and adore you, Mike and the rest of the extended family (including all those adopted kids like myself!). Your parties are awesome and so much fun...I truly feel blessed to be a part of each one. I hope you know just how wonderful you are and how much I treasure you and our friendship.

Thank you (and Mike!) also for helping me reach a goal of riding a horse after WLS. You don't know how much it meant to me to be up on Sage. Reflecting back I get all teary-eyed and amazed. I look at the pictures and just grin. Sage is beautiful....

I look forward to many years of friendship in our future....you're not getting rid of this "daughter" anytime soon.
Love you mama Ann.

Oh my baby girl...it is YOU that have stolen our hearts.  Mike & I, & the rest of the family (Matt, Chris, Amanda, Nino, Ben) have all commented on what a lovely addition to our family you are.  As I read what you wrote, I too got teary-eyed & Dad just smiled as he listened to me read it to him.  We love you very much.  I'm glad that you look to our home as a refuge from the weekly stress...such is the glories of living in the country.  I can't promise a party every weekend, but stick with us & you'll have many, many more adventures.

We were all very proud of you when you stepped up to the challenge of not only handling Sage, but riding him as well.  Mike said that you take direction very well & expects nothing but continued improvement as we slowly, but surely turn you into a horsewoman.  You have that "special touch".  I hope you don't mind, but I just have to post a couple of photos of you achieving yet another post-wls goal.  Your success will contine to be many & we are very proud.  See you this weekend!!  It's off to the farm where you will hear Dennis command...."TO HORSE!!!"  And Happy Surgiversary!!!

Ummm....I was on a pole.  Had to step up on the round pen so I could get in the saddle.  Darned short legs!!!  So, does that count???

Christina - major congrats on meeting your goal (Ikinda one of mine too, but still a ways off).  I have not ridden a horse since 1991 (honeymoon) in MT.  Congratulations again, you look so very happy!  lys
