A wow moment

So I mentioned awhile back that I was asked by my gym to be part of their success wall & do a little write up about my experience.  I will be turning this in tonight when I go to the gym.  What do you think?

Starting weight before surgery: 305 lbs

Weight when I joined Womenfit: 240 lbs

Current weight: 155 lbs

After having Gastric Bypass weight loss surgery in November of 2005 & being released to regular exercise I was looking for a gym with lots of variety, where I would feel comfortable working on my goals.  A friend invited me to join her in a belly dancing class at Womenfit where she was a member.  I joined the class & started checking out the gym.  After getting a 2 week trial pass and really seeing what a great place Womenfit was, I joined in March of 2006.  By following my diet & nutrition guidelines, working out 3 – 4 times a week with cardio and weight training I was able to make it to my goal weight of 155 lbs in March of 2007.  By continuing with these lifestyle changes I have been able to maintain my goal weight.  There have been so many positives in my life since my journey started.  I am more confident and outgoing; I have actually started to try out some of the classes here at Womenfit that I never had the nerve to try before.  I am participating in groups outside the gym, at work & with peers, to work on having healthier life styles.  I have so much more energy and feel great.  I really enjoy the time I have to myself when I am working out and the knowledge that I am doing great things for my health.

Courtney,
Great writeup.  You should consider writing some articles for OH.
