The ball is rolling

Hello you all,
I finally had my first appointment...I left the office ovewhelmed with so many information, referrals...Thanks goodness there is a whole team in place to help me with that. Tomorrow I'll start the pre-op exams, evaluations and bla bla bla...then...face the insurance approval.
So far I saw myself as a pretty healthy  lady...well, things are not exactly how I imagined. My blood presure is high, and the scale at the office is "mean, really mean" ...LOL
My jorney is just starting and I am very happy knowing I have you all for support. Thank you so much!

Hi and welcome to the VA Board! We are all here to help you as much as we can!  It does seem very overwhelming in the beginning but it will all make sense in the end.....

Never trust the scales -  they are liars lololol!

Oh, it is not just me? Good to know the scales are real liars! I always suspected... You know, I used to dream with a scale running after me (really!).
I think if I did not have the support from my family and this site I never would do it.

I only like the scales when they tell me what I want to hear! lolol! Most of the time they don't add or subtract correctly lololol!

Congrats on getting "the ball rolling!"  It can seem overwhelming, that is for sure, and those darned scales...definitely a curse, unless, as Jackie says, they tell you what you want to see -- then, we LOVE them!  Hehe  Welcome to the Va. Board -- a great group of people.  We're here to help!  :)

I remember that first appointment. I was so very overwhelmed and so excited at the same time. It is a long journey, but surely is worth all of it. I always thought I was a healthy fat person, but in honesty I was far from it. I wish you the best of luck and we will be here to support you through your journey!
