I am almost 8 mo post op. I had my lap RNY in march. I have been on the same weight up and down 1 lbs for the past 3 wks. Is this normal?

Yep ditto.  Plataus are when yo will notice the clothes or shoes or watch band becoming looser.  Its like the scale moves feels real rewarding bu the plateau comes and druing the frustration, you notice its time to go downa size or 2 in some clothing.  You are getting to the point where your measurements will show more prgress than the scales.  I had plateaus every 2-3 weeks for 4-6 weeks at a time. Quite frustrating until I realized what was happening.  Just keep following the program and it will all work as planned; protein, water, and keep moving.

You are doing great. Just keep going!!

Good am,

Plateaus are quite normal actually. You are not alone. We all seem to meet a stall throughout a journey and several times during it. You might try increases your protein intake, getting in more fluids, changing your exercise plan, changing up what you are eating. Have you talked with your nutrtitionist? Give him/her a try as well. Keep us posted. All best!

Yep...completely normal.  Your body needs time to catch up to what is happening.  You will begin losing again when your body is ready...just remember to follow the plan set forth by your surgeons office.  Changing up an exercise routine and upping protein and water do seem to help it start again faster.  Good luck!

It looks like you've already had a few responses.  But I have read this so much, that it's normal and your body playing catch up.  For me I lose pretty steady aside form the occasional week long wait for the scale to move a notch.  NOt to worry, you'll probably see it picking up again soon.  :)
