OT: help me out?

I've been up to Charlestown, it's pretty fun. The only problem is, at least as far as the horses go, is that you wait 20 minutes for a race, then the race takes about 15 seconds, then you wait 20 more minutes for another race. I guess that would explain why most people were standing around drinking between races; gotta have something to do. :)

Skyline drive is beautiful, you can acutally pick it up in Front Royal so it is not tremendously far.  Some others to consider:

Great Falls Park
Harpers Ferry WVA
Cows & Corn is cool but a bit small
Cox Farms
The Zoo
A museum
Check out the appalachian trail site & see what trails are available near you

You know, we went to Harpers Ferry (by way of Charlestown) about a year ago... I really liked it, even the creepy wax museum place. We'll have to get back there sometime.

Didn't even think about the zoo, and Saturday would have been a good day for it, too!
