Hernias

How many had to have one repaired during your surgery and you hadn't had any problems with it befoe?

If the surgeon sees a hernia he will usually repair it  if he/she thinks it will give you trouble later. In my case the surgeon saw a tiny umbilical hernia and left it so that it would help get my some of my plastic surgery paid for by the insurance - which is what I did.... although only a tiny portion. Perhaps your surgeon feels it will give you trouble later as the fat gets stripped away...
