Hi Fred,  My doctor wanted me to wait until day 21 to try swallowing whole pills. I'm on day 22, and I am going to start trying to swallow tomorrow. I just cannot do the crushing anymore! Its FOUL!!!!

Never crushed.

I crushed 1 of my pills one time & the taste was HORRIBLE!!! that was the end. After that I swallowed them all. But my pills are pretty small. As for vitamins, I couldn't swallow those whole until about 5 weeks out, and even then they were uncomfortable. Now I'm ok swallowing vitamins and calcium, but I can't take them all at once. It is about a 1/2 hour ordeal getting my supplements in.

Fred Never had any problems and never really thought about crushing them to be honest . Tony

Forgot to crush my tiny bp pill the next day in the hospital and both the hospital doctor and my nurse went on and on about it.  I'm still crush and chewing 7 days out and will ask at my post-op appointment tomorrow.  I think they said for me to crush for at least a few weeks.

I never chrushed them either.  They put me on liquid Vicodin d/t the size of the pills.  But I have never had a problem taking my meds. Carole

Never crushed any of them. I did cut the ones that were bigger than an advil in half.

Never crushed pills, took my thyroid and small capsules at 3 days.   I still have been afraid to swallow a large pill I did use liquid vicodin and had liquid tylenol a few times the first week.

Hey there Fred, As with most of the others, I never crushed any of my pills.  My surgeon sent me home with pills for pain and several other things 2 days after surgery.  I did use gummy bear vitamins because I love them but if I needed a pill I just swallowed it. Good question.  Hope the info you get helps you.

Never crushed anything.... and I take a fair handful of pills.  I swallowed them one at a time because I was afraid to take a whole handful and have them get stuck. I did chewable vitamins until the bottle ran out and then switched back to the horse pill size vitamins I took pre-surgery.  Now I have no problem taking the whole handful with a small glass of water.
