Thanks Rana,
It worked! Not great resolution, but it worked! Can you tell the difference in me from the flashes?

(Hope you're already asleep and reading this in the morning!)

Yup, it's morning and I'm just now reading this...

I had to play with the resolution stuff.  It's a pain!  The only way to do it is to have a photo that needs very little cropping.  But then I ran into problems with the file size being too big.  Arghhhh!

And YES!  I can certainly see a difference from the "Before" and "Now" flashes!  Looking good, my friend!

Peace,
Rana

Hey, there!  Great to see you again!  And I think 83 lbs is terrific weight loss!   In fact, we've set up a poll site, where people can come and post their data (weight loss at various milestones after surgery), and your 83 lbs at 9 months is well within the curve that we are seeing.  Sure, there are a few people *****ally burned off a whole lot of pounds, but there were also people who lost a bit less than you.   Just like with everything else, there will be people who just melt off and people who drop weight at a more slow but steady pace.  There are some real advantages to the slower loss.  It's actually a bit less of a strain on  your body, for one thing.  Listen, if you would be willing, I'd really like you to come over to the VSG poll site and fill out the polls.  We set it up to collect weight loss data (and other stuff) from sleevesters as they go along, so that newbies down the line will have good information about what they can expect.  It is easier to view this data as it's in a bar graph format, plus down the line we can direct newbies to the polls, and they can see the collected data from HUNDREDS of members, rather than just a dozen or so answers from whoever happens to be online when they post. Anyway, it's really great seeing you!  I hope your partner is all clear from the breast cancer!  I went through that a few years ago.  I think it's harder for the people who love the person going through it, than it is for the actual person. Hope you had a wonderful Passover!  And visit more often - we miss you! Lisa

Hi Lisa,

I see you have a date really soon--congratulations!

I actually already registered at the poll site, so it's up to you now, Ms. Administrator.

As for slower being less stress on your body, I do think that's true, I had virtually no hair loss, and have felt great all the way through this experience.

My partner is clear--it was quite a scare--at first we thought it was already stage 4 since she had 1 lump in one breast and 2 in the other, but only 1 was malignant. So we went from major dread to minor Stage 1, which then felt so minor, we were just happy and relieved. I hope you are clear now, too.

Passover was pretty good--and yours?

I promise to visit more often, now go clear my registration--I want to be part of the survey!

Hi, Pielet! Looks like Lyden beat me to it.  I was off doing MY JOB all day for a change!  LOL.  Yeah, I finished treatments 2001, and so far, so good, altho they're watching a calcification on the other side.  Even if it turns out to be something, it'll be Stage 1 (Nonetheless, if it does turn out to be the big C again, I gotta think I will opt for a bilateral mastectomy this time.  Heck, by this time next year I'll be skinny, right?  So I can be flat-chested and I won't be pear-shaped.  LOL) I missed Passover this year.  I did Easter, though - twice!!!  Two families! LOL.  L

OK, I've answered all of the polls. Thanks for doing that!!!

I know this is horrible, but my breasts are so droopy and heavy, I was thinking BC would be a free way to get them smaller. I know it's sick, but when watching someone with cancer, your mind plays weird tricks on you...

If anything does come back, check out low dose naltrexone first. It's doing amazing things for cancer and all sorts of auto-immune diseases.

Take care and enjoy getting skinny!

Yeah, the lumpectomy and subsequent infection left me a bit lop-sided.  Because of my current heavy state, nobody notices but me (I wear loose clothes).  But my docs always ask if I want reconstruction.  I never much cared, so didn't bother.  But now, I'm thinking that once I lose a bunch of weight, it might be more noticeable, and I might care.  I also figure that since my insurance is REQUIRED to pay for reconstruction, that might be a way to at least get SOME of the plastic work done if I have a lot of loose skin!  Maybe I'll just have them hitch up my loose belly all the way, so my navel is around my collarbone!  LOL.  L
