Hello all, I'm Susan 43years young, single and loving life. Surgery was March 22, 2007 made goal @ 11months.
I'm a dispatcher for a fuel delivery company have two dogs, Bella and Cayenne they are mini dachshunds and the two of them keep me on my toes.

Hiya! I'm Nia! I'm a smiley college student from Arizona planning to be sleeved this summer with Dr. Alvarez In Mexico! I really don't know what I'm going to do with my life just because I have so many interests I can't decide -I'm considering triple majoring!! I love learning, traveling (which has gotten harder over time) and developing new friendships... Though I don't know a lot about where I'll end up in the future, what I do know is that I'm investing my hope in the sleeve for helping me get back on track. I want to live a full life and be able to be there for other people, rather than dealing with health problems and tiredness my whole life! I know I'm young but my family and friends are supportive of my decision and we generally all think it's better to have the surgery now while I'm young. In general, I plan to be more involved in OH once I have my surgery but I'm always reading along and following the posts! I think it's fabulous how we support each other as well... ~Smiles~ Nia

Greetings all. I am 26 and live in the San Francisco area. I have a meeting with a docter at the end of the month. I currently have a BMI of around 44 and am hoping to have VSG. I am not sure if my insurance will cover it, they consider it investigational but I am really think this is the surgery for me... of course I will listen to my surgeon. Anyway... I am glad to have found such a wonderful resource in OH... all the info and support a girl could ask for. xoxo

Maybe you aren't as computer saavy as you thought, but I love your tenacious spirit already. It should serve you well should you end up getting a sleeve.

I'm Rana, a stay-at-home mom to 3 kids and a wonderful hubby.  We live in the Sierra Nevada foothills, about an hour from Sacramento, CA.  We have 2 dogs, a cat, and a bunch of fish (Cichlids and a few bettas).

I had surgery one year ago today, and as of today, I've lost 111 lbs. (but I'll probably have gained back a lb by tomorrow).  I have my 1 yr follow-up with Dr. C tomorrow and I'll find out about the extensive blood work that I had done.  I'll post about it if I have time, but it might have to wait until Monday (lots going on this weekend).

Hello all~ My name is Brandy and I live in San Jose, CA.  I am 37 and live in a house full of boys!!!! My oldest, Corey is 16 and my twins Christopher and Kyle are 15....oh and my husband of almost 18 years James. I am a Realtor and love my job even though it can be crazy at times juggling everything. I had my surgery 4/21/08 after 27 years of being overweight and yo-yo dieting. I have lost 20 lbs so far and am very happy with my sleeve, even though I have a hard time getting the fluids in (the hardest adjustment for me) I am still at the stage that I can't even imagine being thin, I look at others before and after pictures and am awestruck by their success and just can't imagine ,  Nice to meet all of you, your posts are inspiring, Brandy
