Concerned about carbs.

It's so crazy how so many surgeons/nutritionists have different philosophies about this.  Most people on this board seem to try to stay under 40 grams.  My nutritionist says I can have up to 100 grams.  Of course, she recommends that they be healthy carbs.....fruits, vegetables, whole grains, things like that.  She says you need the energy that the carbs provide.  She recommends that you have the carbs early in the day when you need that energy, rather than later.  So, I don't know.  You just have to experiment and figure out what works for you.  I do try to keep mine around 40, but if it's something that's good for me, I allow myself to go over.
