A suggestion: Stop responding to the posts that say negative things about VSG. Let them...

This board is mostly a warm and supportive place.  But when there are negative posts, people keep them alive by continuiing to respond.

So I'd like to suggest that we hasten their disappearance by not posting to them.

You're right and I usually do but this Cox woman is such a pain in the ass.  She is so mean spirited so I had to get a little dig in there.  I won't feed the trolls anymore.

In all sincerity I don't think Diana Cox is playing with a full deck.  There is really nothing you can do to help her control her behaviors.  She's going to post whether anyone responds or not.  It's how she is.  I've had her blocked for probably a year now.

I know what you mean but I also see why people are posting on them. like me!

I woudn't read them if they made me mad or upset - who needs that - but I get a laugh out of them sometimes.

like the one who said we were scared she would invade our board. scared! I got a hoot out of that. guess she lost track of the fact that she was posting words on the internet, not showing up at our doors with automatic weapons.

simple pleasures....

once upon a time I had a group to talk about Binge Eating Disorder, and later one about Clean Eating.

PM me if you are interested in either of these.

As funny as they are for some people, I think they make noobs like me nervous.  I am going in for surgery in 2 days and I really hate the hostility.  I can only imagine its worse for people very scared or not yet resolved in their treatment path

I can understand that.

but you have to have faith in your decision whatever anyone else thinks and there are always people you have to ignore.

meanwhile, I'll start ignoring them. I keep forgetting I have satellite TV now.

If someone is "not yet resolved in their treatment path," I don't think they should move forward. I believe you have to be 110% committed to what you're getting into to be successful. If you can be easily put off or put on edge by someone posting info, whether it be about your chosen procedure or another, then perhaps you need a little more time to figure out what you really want/need.

Just my opinion. I know I won't be successful if I go into this anything less than 110% certain it's right for me.

(I want to add that I am using the term "you" sort of generically for any pre-op, as I know you specifically did not say this was the case for you.)
