I'm home...I'm bouncing off the walls!! ((no sugar needed!!)) I had met with my surgeon today. I had the pleasure meeting her after my initial seminar back in july. She's such a sweet woman, with a GREAT personality and even better sense of humor ((which is a HUGE plus in my book, cause if you're not laughin you're not livin'!!!!)) Anywho, she told my how great i've been doing with the weight loss since I've started the program, etc. How great she knows i'll do post surgery etc.
She let me know that even if you get the approval over the phone (twice in my case) that it could be a whole different ball game come paper work time. Blah. She said Capital Blue's been pretty good with approving things though. I said, well if all else fails, I'm not totally apposed to getting a RNY done. I said, well I mean, I could just take a loan out and do private pay. She told me she's against private pay, and the reason being....she had told me to think in the worse case, someone self pays for the surgery and some where down the line, has problems and needs to be hospitalized, and spends like a week in the ICU... and the bill runs like $100, 000. Because of being private pay, that the person would fall responsible to pay that amount, not the ins. I'm like OUCH. no thank you, that's quite alright.
I had typed up the list of questions I had for her, and printed them out. A copy for her, as well as myself to scribble the answers down on during conversation. She told me how great it was that I did that, and how well organized I was. Woot woot go me. haha. She also let me know that prior to surgery, i can give myself the shot, that she'll give me the script for it.
I've already had my labs and all that crap done, so basically i have an appointment March 2nd ((she said to clear the day, cause it'll take a while)) umm all the paper work, consent, yadda yadda and stuff over at the hosp. then March 5th is my last required appointment.........
YAY!!
As I mentioned in my last blog entry, i would have liked to have had my surgery on St. Pattys Day......however, the first avail. that I could do ((that worked with hubbys schedule, because he's taking off the week with me)) is Monday March 16th!! Sweet deal huh? She looked me over to check for hernias etc, and for the FiRST time in my 28 years of life, i was told that i had a nice stomach!! I'm like "huh, what?!" she said that I have the perfect stomach for a lap procedure with the way the "dip is under my ribs" I'm like umm, okay thanks, i think ((just joking with her)) she said, "ohh and great tan too, where'd you get that?!" ....haha I laughed and said, "well, I bought it!" I told her how i'm tanning now, so after i start to heal up, i'll have a nice base that way i can get right back into fake baking.
I'm on cloud effin 9..........i can't even stand it!!
So let the 31 day count down begin!!!!
All I'm waiting on is the phone call with the times for the 2nd and the 16th...and if i got approved for the sleeve, or if we're doing the RNY. so i just have to fill out my LOA papers at work, since I'm taking a full month :0) and if i feel better sooner, i'll go back then. Dr Rodgers said normally she tells people to take 3 weeks if it's possible...........totally i have NO objection to taking a month away from that place i have to call work!! hehe
soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo excited! im keeping my fingers *crossed* for the VSG.....but like i said, either work...i just REALLY REALLY want the VSG!!

Totally going to rock it!! I have to confess though, i'm going to be uber p!ssed if my ins. decides it's not going to cover it and I have to get the bypass. I've been living and breathing and researching my @ss off for this VSG. UGH! I'll be a mess til' I get that call saying it's all good.
But, other then that, same ole same ole...i hear ya.
Back computers are over rated ;-) hehe....well not really, i'd go insane without mine. Aww, is he going to be home for your surgery?! Hope so!!
Life is good, and it's only bound to get better!! :0)

If your insurance doesn't approve the VSG I'll take care of them

Nope he's not going to be home for my surgery-- If I'm lucky he'll come home the end of April but probably May-- stupid Navy lol. I truly MISS him so much
But when he gets back he's completely out of the Navy 
WooHoo! I'm hoping that him being away will actually be easier for the liquid diet & getting use to my sleeve, ya know? No****ching him eat everything in sight (& not gaining an ounce either) might work better in the long run. Stupid men & their healthy metabolisms-- not fair 
Oh & BTW why the heck isn't it March 16th & March 20th yet??? Does it seem like time is slowing down??
Keep me posted about the insurance-- Just in case I have to throw down (I can be straight gangsta if I need to be lol lol lol lol lol
