How long do you stay satisfied?

Hi Brenda,

Be prepared for that a good percentage of VSGers report feeling hungry for the first 10 days to 3 weeks post-op. It was two weeks for me, since I was on liquids for two weeks. Then it disappeared. I will admit have never taken 20 minutes to eat a meal. I counted calories and watched my protein and carb intake for the first three months or so - now I keep a loose watch on protein and liquids only. After a meal, I don't feel hungry again for five or six hours.

Why can't my inner fashionista and my inner feminist just get along? Ros-mari

I have had a huge change in hunger, I wouldn't worry too much about that.  There are always struggles, but I know for me, its like night and day.

Now I am 9 days out and just on purees.  It takes me 30 minutes to eat 2 ounces of purees and things like yogurt keep me full feeling for 3 hours.  But pureed soup keeps me full like...6+ hours.  Its crazy and kind of disappointing because I would really like to get more protein in.  But I think it will come in time.  I just thought it would be something to add for contrast.  It is beyond amazing to me that 2 ounces can make me feel stuffed and keep me full for so long.
